In these uncertain times where we are in the midst of a very deadly pandemic and which is challenging the very foundations of human society and the way we live in this age of कलयुग ( KalYuga) and has come to teach us some hard lessons based on our past actions or कर्म ( Karma) where human-kind has been mercilessly manipulating the environment which is represented by Mother-Earth ( भूदेवी ) to satisfy our insatiable desire to grow and prosper at the cost of the environment and the other beings in the planet .
As the pandemic grows incessantly across the globe affecting lakhs of people and reaching a million soon and threatening to go much beyond, the people stay quarantined at home in fear of getting the disease and further exponentially increasing the spread..
In our country India, as the disease spreads and the entire country in a lockdown waiting and praying for the virus to subside, it is time to do some self-introspection and look inwards into our lives…
In this age of Scientific advancement, we have relentlessly used our scientific discoveries and inventions in various fields of engineering, medicine, agriculture and other industrial areas through which mankind has been able to continue in its pursuit of materialistic prosperity where we measure the success of human life through the link of material success and possessions..
We in the mad rush of material pursuits have lost the touch with inner-selves and mostly busy in outbound pursuits of making money and endless socialising both real and virtual…
The accumulation of past human actions for generations has led to the current catastrophe and many more to come.. The nature is giving us early warnings and we must heed to it..
In this mad pursuit of satisfying our materialistic pursuits, we stopped looking inwards and our internal to our soul or ‘आत्मा” which is the carrier of our karmic debt and acts as the connection with Paramatma (“परमात्मा”) or GOD (“भगवान”)..
